User Data Deletion
Last updated: May 28, 2026
You can delete the data Maneki holds about you at any time. There are two places data lives — on your own machine, and on Maneki's servers — and you can remove either or both.
1. Delete local data on your machine
Maneki stores your session token and connected ad-account list locally at ~/.maneki/session.json. To remove it, run:
maneki logout— clears the session file, orrm -rf ~/.maneki— removes the entire local Maneki directory.
2. Revoke Maneki's access on Meta
You can revoke Maneki's permission to act on your Meta ad accounts directly from Facebook, without contacting us:
- Go to Facebook Settings → Apps and Websites (or Business Integrations).
- Find Maneki in the list of connected apps.
- Click Remove. Facebook will revoke our access token immediately.
After revocation, any tokens we still hold for your account become invalid and unusable.
3. Delete your Maneki account and server-side data
To delete the account record we keep on api.maneki.sh — including your email, user ID, encrypted Meta tokens, and any cached ad-account metadata — email us:
- contact@maneki.sh with the subject "Data deletion request".
Include the email address you used to sign up so we can locate your account. We'll confirm deletion within 30 days of the request and reply once it's complete. There is no fee.
What gets deleted
- Your Maneki account record (email, user ID, plan).
- Encrypted OAuth tokens for any ad platforms you connected.
- Cached metadata about your ad accounts (IDs, names).
- Server-side logs that reference your user ID, beyond what we're required to retain for fraud and abuse prevention.
